CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The City Council on Tuesday approved an interlocal agreement allocating up to $2.5 million for storm drainage improvements, using funds from the Street Bond 2024 initiative.
The agreement establishes a partnership between the City of Corpus Christi and the Port of Corpus Christi for a joint project to upgrade Sam Rankin Street from Port Avenue to Interstate 37. Under the terms of the agreement, the Port will fund pavement reconstruction, curbs and gutters, and sidewalks, while the City will handle the stormwater infrastructure improvements.
