CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The City of Corpus Christi unveiled a new construction site for a new police substation in the Southside on Wednesday.
The city said the new substation will allow officers to connect with residents while remaining close to the community. The new facility will be near the Del Mar College Oso Creek Campus, the intersection of Rodd Field Road and Yorktown Boulevard.
Corpus Christi Police Department (CCPD) Chief of Police, Michael Markle, said, “It’s a huge investment and a huge honor, as I said, our public voted for this in a bond by a huge margin. It’s gonna give us access. Speedier access to the deep South, you know, we’re incorporating London. It will give our officers a much better place, a work environment, a better place to store equipment, and interact with the public.”…
