Some might have seen becoming a barber in a shop specializing in working with special needs and adults or people with physical disabilities as an opportunity to help for a few minutes before sending them on their way. But for Portland resident Austin Bashaw, it turned into a chance to be that blessing at any and all times.
Bashaw is the founder and creator of The Neighborhood Barber, which is a mobile barbershop currently serving parts of the Coastal Bend. Bashaw accepts appointments in Portland, Ingleside, Aransas Pass, and Rockport, with plans to expand to Corpus Christi once road construction settles down.
The Neighborhood Barber is a mobile barbershop which Bashaw found and made his own just before moving to Portland from the Dallas-Fort Worth area earlier this year. And it’s been nothing but positivity for him so far…
