Annual memory walk commemorates missing Aransas Pass girl

The Aransas Pass community was shaken to the core when Blanca Elisa Roberson disappeared while walking to a friend’s house more than 36 years ago. And though some who lived in town at the time have since moved away, they recently came back to help honor Roberson and keep her memory alive as the search continues.

On Aug. 6, dozens of people gathered in front of Kielbarger Elementary for the annual memory walk in honor of Roberson, who was last seen on Aug. 6, 1989 as she walked to a friend’s house.
