CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — At this week’s budget workshop, Corpus Christi’s free water reclamation program took center stage. The program allows residents to pick up treated wastewater for use at home — but while it’s been considered a success, some city leaders are questioning the cost of keeping it running.
Leaders with Corpus Christi Water said they need seven additional employees at the reclaimed water station to keep operating at full capacity. Without them, they warn, the program may have to shut down or scale back drastically.
