Corpus Christi Weather: Thunderstorms and High Heat Linger Through Friday Before Weekend Cooldown

Corpus Christi, Texas – Thunderstorms and sizzling heat will dominate much of South Texas through the end of the week, bringing repeated rounds of heavy rain and lightning along with triple-digit temperatures.

According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, a trough of low pressure along the coast is fueling daily storm chances, with rain coverage peaking Thursday at 70%. Areas across the Victoria Crossroads and Coastal Plains should be prepared for storms capable of producing localized flooding and dangerous lightning through Saturday.
