CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A drug bust on the city’s southside led to two arrests Wednesday evening after officers seized drugs, weapons and nearly $7,000 in cash.
Corpus Christi Police Department PIO Antonio Contreras said officers were dispatched around 5:39 p.m. to the 3900 block of Panama Drive for a drug possession call. Narcotics Vice Investigation Division officers joined patrol officers at the scene.
Investigators determined the residents had access to weapons and confirmed a 19-year-old woman inside the home had an active warrant. Officers were able to persuade both the woman and an 18-year-old man to leave the apartment after a lengthy standoff…
