CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Attorneys for the developers behind the under-construction Homewood Suites hotel in downtown Corpus Christi are calling a rival’s lawsuit “a bunch of nonsense.”
The legal dispute stems from claims that the project’s developers altered a FEMA document and that Corpus Christi’s City Council did not follow proper procedures when approving a $2 million grant for the project. The developers, Elevate, are now asking a court to throw out the lawsuit.
