Whataburger is marking its 75th anniversary with a special 75-cent hamburger offer on Aug. 8. The deal is part of the chain’s National Whataburger Day celebration and runs until 8 p.m. local time, according to a company news release.
How to Claim the 75-Cent Burger
The offer includes a classic #1 Whataburger for just 75 cents. Fans must use the Whataburger App to redeem it, as the deal is digital-only. It is available to Whataburger Rewards members from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time and is limited to one redemption per account. Customizations and add-ons are available for an additional charge.
“Mark your calendars and bring your appetite – National Whataburger Day is back on Aug. 8, and this year’s celebration is bigger, better, and beefier than ever,” the chain said in the release. “Seventy-five years after serving our first burger from a stand in Corpus Christi, we’re honoring the fans who made it possible with exclusive drops, in-person fanfare, and a can’t-miss deal.”
Commemorative Cups and Collectibles
In addition to the burger deal, Whataburger is releasing a second collection of limited-edition commemorative cups. The 32-ounce cups debut on Aug. 5 with a 75th table tent-inspired design. Additional designs will follow: a silver-striped anniversary cup on Aug. 12 and a classic A-frame tribute cup on Aug. 19.
The cups are available for a limited time at select restaurants and online at Whatastore.com. They can be used with meals or kept as souvenirs. More collections are expected this fall and winter.
Local Celebration in Corpus Christi
Hometown fans can join festivities at Whataburger Field (734 E. Port Ave) on Aug. 8 for a special “Orange Out” night. Attendees are encouraged to wear orange and cheer on the Corpus Christi Hooks, who will play as the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits against the Tulsa Drillers at 7:05 p.m. as part of the 75th-anniversary celebration…
