CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Taft ISD celebrated the opening of a new food pantry this week, giving students, families and staff a resource to help meet basic needs.
The pantry, located at Woodroe Petty Elementary School, opened with a ribbon cutting that featured cheerleaders and the district’s drumline. It was made possible through a partnership between Taft ISD, Communities in Schools and the Coastal Bend Food Bank.
