Nearly 100 students join robotics LEGO club at Corpus Christi elementary school

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Nearly 100 students at Club Estates Elementary School have joined a new Robotics/LEGO Club, an extracurricular program designed to spark interest in science, technology, engineering and math.

The club, which launched this school year, was funded through a $24,000 grant from the Corpus Christi Education Foundation and a partnership with LEGO. Students in third through fifth grades are using special LEGO kits to learn the basics of robotics and coding.
