Corpus Christi, TX – South Texas residents are bracing for sweltering conditions this week as temperatures run slightly above normal and heat indices climb between 100 and 105 degrees. The National Weather Service (NWS) warns that the combination of heat and humidity could affect outdoor activity, particularly for athletes and field workers.

According to the NWS Corpus Christi office, highs will range from 88 degrees along the coast to near 100 inland.
