The Community Shop has announced expanded donation hours, giving residents more opportunities to support its mission of “giving back to those who give to us.”
The retail shop, which reopened to the public on June 26, remains open Thursday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. To better accommodate donors, the shop’s donation hours have been extended to 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The shop is closed on Sunday and Wednesday.
The Community Shop has a long history of serving the area by accepting donations of gently used clothes and household items. These goods are prepared and sold in the thrift store, with net proceeds awarded back to the community in the form of grants to local nonprofit organizations. In 2023 and 2024 alone, the shop returned nearly $1 million to the community through its grant awards…
