CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A new development could shift the future of water supply in the Coastal Bend. The San Patricio Municipal Water District has asked the City of Corpus Christi to transfer permits for the proposed La Quinta desalination plant.
The request, made in a letter sent Friday to city leaders, has sparked serious discussions about whether Corpus Christi should continue to control the project.
