Sueltz heads in equalizer to give Lions a 1-1 tie at A&M-Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI – Kristen Sueltz delivered an equalizing goal in the 60th minute as the East Texas A&M University soccer team earned a 1-1 tie at the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders on Sunday afternoon at the Dugan Soccer Stadium.

The Lions are now of just one of two teams in the Southland Conference that is still unbeaten as they move to 1-0-4 in SLC action and 4-5-4 overall. The four ties are a program record for most in a single season.

There are now just five matches left in the regular season and the Lions are tied for third place in the standings, being just a point back of first place. The Islanders are 3-6-4 overall and 1-2-2 in SLC action. A&M-Corpus Christi is 2-0-1 against East Texas A&M in the last three regular season meetings between the two teams.
