Corpus Christi Metro Ministries holds its 34th Annual Poor Man’s Supper with a powerful mission

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Metro Ministries invites the community to its annual Poor Man’s Supper, a gathering that brings together people in support of compassion, dignity, and hope.

In its 34th year, Metro Ministries organizes this event to remind us of the simple yet profound power of sharing a meal. The event is scheduled for October 16, and the VIP reception will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the presentation at 7 p.m. at the Ballroom, Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi.

Chief Executive Officer for Metro Ministries, Patty Clark said, “What started as a way for our donors to understand who we are, what we do, and how we serve. A lot of people fill the stew they use the top to dip and bite, others will hollow the whole thing, save that for last. It’s just really interesting to walk around the room and see everybody’s technique. But it’s a reminder that might be the only meal someone’s going to have today, and they’re going to have to stand in line to get it.”…
