Miss Texas US 2025 Madison Hickman champions dyslexia awareness through advocacy

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi psychology major and reigning Miss Texas United States 2025 Madison Hickman is turning her personal challenges into a mission to inspire others.

Hickman, now a junior at the Island University, was diagnosed with dyslexia as a child. What began as a struggle with spelling and reading has grown into a lifelong passion for advocacy — one that she proudly carries onto the national stage.

Her journey began in third grade when her mother noticed her difficulties and pushed for support from teachers. After years of hard work and tutoring, Hickman learned to manage her dyslexia and thrive academically…
