The Sinton Pirates and Lady Pirates turned in strong showings on Thursday at the District 30-4A meet at Live Oak Park in Ingleside with runner-up team finishes.
Led by Christian Jardon’s sixth-place finish, the Pirates placed second behind Rockport-Fulton in the team standings. Jardon clocked a time of 18 minutes, 16.44 seconds over the 5,000-meter course, with teammate Sean Correa close behind in seventh at 18:18.21.
