Rockport’s Vietnamese Catholic community prepares to consecrate new home

For more than eight years, the Vietnamese Catholic congregation of St. Peter’s in this coastal city has been a community in exile, worshiping in a rented warehouse since Hurricane Harvey destroyed their church.

Now, their long wait for a permanent home is nearly over.
