Moody High School Seniors Save Big During Texas’ First Free College Application Week

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The first-ever statewide Free Application Week gave Texas high school seniors the chance to apply to any public university without paying a single fee — and for students at Moody High School, that opportunity added up to big savings.

With college application fees often ranging from $40 to $75 per school, many students said the initiative helped them apply more broadly without the financial strain.

“It saved me a lot of money because I mean those applications — UT is I think $75, A&M is $75 — so it adds up over time,” said Moody senior Landen Trevino. “It’s a really good way to save a lot of money.”…
