Students march at Water’s Edge Park to celebrate Red Ribbon Week

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Students from several area elementary schools marched through Water’s Edge Park on Tuesday morning to celebrate Red Ribbon Week and promote drug-free living.

The parade featured colorful banners, cheers and music as children walked arm in arm to raise awareness about making healthy choices. The annual event is part of the national Red Ribbon Week campaign, which encourages students to stay drug-free.

“This year’s motto is ‘Life’s a puzzle, solve it drug-free,’” said CCISD Police Chief Kirby Warnke. “We’re encouraging students to make good choices and live a drug-free life.”…
