Corpus Christi, TX – Fire danger will remain elevated across the South Texas Coastal Plains and Brush Country Friday afternoon as low humidity and critically dry vegetation increase the risk of wildfire ignition, according to the US National Weather Service Corpus Christi TX.

The Fire Danger Statement is in effect from noon Friday through 7 a.m. Saturday, covering areas including Laredo, Cotulla, Beeville, Alice, and Kingsville.
