A large crane being used for the Texas Department of Transportation’s $64 million ferry system upgrade project in Port Aransas will be removed in sections from Nov. 4-6, causing brief traffic disruptions in the area.
The crane removal will require periodic, short-term closures of the intersection of West Cotter Avenue and SH 361 (Cut-off Road). Flaggers and law enforcement will assist with traffic control during the operation.
Port Aransas Ramp Two will be closed for up to 72 hours while crane sections are removed. The three easternmost landing ramps will remain open during the operation, and the closed ramp will reopen once removal is complete…
