CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Parking prices at downtown lots are changing by the hour as a Tennessee-based company expands its portfolio in Corpus Christi. Last week, that expansion included the lot on Chaparral Street next to Bar Under the Sun.
Casey Ortiz, general manager of BUS, said lot owners have partnered with outside operators in response to safety and maintenance concerns, especially during large events.
“The lot is not owned by BUS, it has nothing to do with BUS,” Ortiz said. “We’ve had countless people get stuck, countless cars get towed because they were blocking everyone in, countless accidents. I can’t even tell you — so many issues in there.”…
