VB: Huskies Fall in Three at UTRGV

CORPUS CHRISTI, Tx. – The volleyball team travels to Corpus Christi on Thursday night to face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (9-15, 5-7) at 6:30 p.m. inside the Dugan Wellness Center.

EDINBURG, Texas — Houston Christian University volleyball dropped a three-set decision at UTRGV on Saturday afternoon, falling 22–25, 17–25, 23–25 inside the UTRGV Fieldhouse. With the result, the Huskies move to 12–15 overall and 7–7 in Southland Conference play.

HCU opened strong in the first set, producing 17 kills on .217 hitting and staying within one possession late. A brief UTRGV scoring stretch pushed the Vaqueros ahead, and the hosts closed the frame 25–22. UTRGV gained early separation in the second set and extended its match lead.
