New details have emerged regarding the death of Tejano music star Selena Quintanilla. Fox San Antonio reports that her 1995 autopsy has now been made public. Quintanilla was shot and killed by her former associate Yolanda Saldivar in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The autopsy report, obtained from the Nueces County, Texas, medical examiner’s office, confirms that Quintanilla died from a gunshot wound to her lower right shoulder. Her death was ruled a homicide. Yolanda Saldivar, who was accused of embezzling money from the singer, is serving a life sentence in prison. According to the report, Quintanilla’s death was caused by “an exsanguinating internal and external hemorrhage, in other words massive bleeding, due to a perforating gunshot wound of the thorax (chest),” Fox San Antonio reported…
