CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It was the happiest day at the Nueces County courthouse for children, parents, and new parents as they began their new journey with their forever families just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.
As part of the National Adoption Awareness Month, eight families adopted nine children on Friday. Today’s post-adoption ceremony was followed by a reception and celebration hosted by several community stakeholders.
Nueces County Honorable Judge Timothy McCoy said, “Over the years here at Court Five, we’ve done, we’ve, I’ve been blessed to be able to be a part of hundreds, uh, of adoptions, and I put pictures of every one I’ve ever done on the wall in there. And it’s gonna be great to add a few more pictures today.”…
