Corpus Christi Library Board has new members. Here are the changes.

The newest slate of Corpus Christi Library Board members have started their tenure, taking their seats Dec. 2 on what has in recent years been a controversial panel.

The City Council recently approved five representatives to the nine-member board — two incumbents and three new appointments, to include one member who has served on the board in years past.

The advisory board, historically little-noticed, drew the spotlight last year as contentious debate unfurled among its members, and among the public, over the content of library books and in which sections of the library that books should be shelved…
