Authorities raided an illegal gambling operation in South Texas on Thursday, arresting two people and seizing gaming devices and cash following a months-long investigation into counterfeit money, drug sales, and gambling complaints.
A joint search warrant was executed at Quick Easy Game Room, located at 1425 Business 35 South, involving the Rockport Police Department, Aransas Pass Police Department, Texas Comptroller’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations. The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission assisted in the probe.
Ganaesh Kumar Jaladi was arrested on charges of engaging in organized criminal activity and illegal gambling. Patrick Daniel Thauburn, who authorities said was not affiliated with the game room but was present during the raid, was arrested on charges of manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1-B, between 4 grams and 200 grams.
