CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — For two decades, Adult Protective Services and the Silver Advocate Partners have teamed up on a mission to support some of the Coastal Bend’s most vulnerable residents: seniors who may be alone or without support during the holidays.
Each year, board members collect donations and assemble 50 care bags filled with nonperishable food, hygiene items, socks and blankets. The goal, organizers say, is to bring comfort and a sense of connection to older adults who may otherwise spend the season without family or community nearby.
