The ACND Commission recently announced that the City of Rockport is scheduled to vote on the Interlocal Agreement (ILA) regarding the Concho Street drainage project. The ILA, originally submitted in April, includes an addendum stipulating that the ACND will pay for or secure funding for the design of the project once all entities approve it.
The ultimate goal of the Concho Street project is to reduce sediment pollution entering Rockport Harbor from an outfall that drains approximately 185 acres. The new design includes retrofitting the system with a sediment catchment and a large Best Management Practice (BMP) sediment pollution trap at the end of the outfall.
