A North Padre Island beachcomber stumbled across an octopus in the water on Dec. 7.
Padre Island Madre, a beach photography social media account active on Facebook and TikTok, documents sunsets, coastal wildlife and beach finds from North Padre Island and Mustang Island daily. The account is run by a local resident who was reached by the Caller-Times and wishes to remain anonymous. Over the past three years, the Facebook page has climbed to nearly 100,000 followers.
