Corpus Christi Water shares winter pipe protection tips

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi Water is encouraging residents to take a few simple steps now to help protect home plumbing during colder winter weather, according to a City of Corpus Christi news release.

City officials said there are currently no freezing temperatures in the forecast, and 3NEWS Meteorologist Carly Smith confirmed, but seasonal maintenance during the cooler months can help reduce the risk of burst pipes and other damage if temperatures drop later this winter.

Simple steps for winter home preparation

These winterization steps can be done any time during the cooler months, the City of Corpus Christi said:
