Gospel music will return to the Coastal Bend on Jan. 9-10 with the 29th annual Rockport Gospel Music Festival, a two-day event featuring performers from across the country and free admission for the public.
The festival will be held at First Baptist Church of Rockport, located at 1515 N. Live Oak St. Doors will open at 5 p.m. Friday, with music beginning at 6 p.m. On Saturday, doors will open at noon, and performances will start at 1 p.m.
Organizers say admission to both days is free, but attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items and plastic bags. Donations will benefit Rockport-Fulton Good Samaritans, a local assistance organization…
