Long known for its fine dining reputation, Fork & Vines introduced a full craft cocktail program last spring. Led by bar manager Tiffany McDevitt and built on the foundation established by local cocktail innovator Jacob McClain, the new bar has quickly become a draw for guests who want more than wine with their meal.
McDevitt said the addition has created something special for the neighborhood. “Adding that element really put a gem in this little neighborhood,” she shared. “People are walking down the street, coming in for a drink and then walking home.”
McDevitt brings years of experience working across Corpus Christi’s restaurant and bar scene, and her approach to cocktails reflects both skill and intention. She explained that cocktail making is not just pouring drinks but creating a full experience, from balancing flavors to shaping how a guest feels with each sip.
Her approach incorporates techniques such as foaming egg whites and smoking cocktails, drawing on methods commonly used by mixologists and inspired by bartenders around the world. Creativity fuels much of her work, whether she is developing seasonal menus, testing new ideas guests bring in or experimenting with unexpected concepts like a lasagna-inspired Bloody Mary.
