Pyhlyn Huerta, a 7th grader at Odem Junior High School, was recognized recently for having placed 1st in the Lions Clubs International Peace Poster Contest held at the district level (Lions District 2-A3), and now her artwork will move on to the state level competition. The winner of the state contest will move on to the international contest and could wind up at an awards ceremony in Hong Kong in July 2026.
