CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Middle school students got a confidence boost Monday as they picked out free shoes and sports gear during the annual Kicks for Class and Communities in School shopping event at Academy Sports and Outdoors.
The shopping spree gave selected students the chance to choose new athletic shoes along with sports equipment to help them start the new year strong.
