Stolen vehicle pursuit ends in arrest of 15-year-old, recovery of unsecured firearm

ROCKPORT, Texas — A high-speed chase involving a stolen vehicle ended with the arrest of a 15-year-old boy early Tuesday morning, according to the Rockport Police Department.

The incident began when officers attempted to stop a 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe that ran a stop sign.

The pursuit, which started around 2:24 a.m., saw the vehicle speeding through residential streets before crashing on Portia Avenue. The driver, a 15-year-old male, was found to have stolen the vehicle from the 100 block of Cherry Hills, police said.
