CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (Nexstar) — Arnulfo Reyes, the former teacher at Robb Elementary who survived the school shooting in 2022, will return to the witness stand Tuesday in the trial against a former school cop who was one of the first to respond.
Adrian Gonzales is the former cop who faces 29 counts of child endangerment. The state alleges Gonzales knew where the shooter was and failed to act to stop or distract the gunman from entering the school. The gunman entered classrooms 111 and 112 and shot and killed 19 children and two teachers.
Reyes was the teacher in room 111. He was shot in the arm and in the back by the gunman. He took the witness stand Monday to recount the events that led up to the shooting. Reyes said the shooter taunted him while in the classroom and even splashed his own blood into his face…
