CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A Sinton woman appeared in San Patricio Court today to ask for Habeus Corpus after being charged with Theft of Property.
According to court documents, Vanessa Slaton, a former employee of Epic Energy Services, stole over $1.6 million from the company while serving as an accountant.
The alleged thefts were discovered after co-owner Rebecca Bosworth conducted an internal audit of the company’s accounts in January 2026.
