Army West Point Softball Sweeps Texas A&M-CC, Tarleton State

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Army West Point softball (5-8) used high-powered offense and lock-down defense to sweep their Texas foes, run-ruling both Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islanders (3-10), 8-0, and tournament host, the Tarleton State Texans (10-5), 10-0. On the day, the Black Knights combined for 18 runs and 22 hits, nine hits coming against the Islanders and 13 hits coming against the Texans, finishing two games with a .458 on-base percentage, a .407 batting average and a .556 slugging percentage.
