CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Firefighters responded to a significant fire at a marina near 13317 South Padre Island Drive early this morning, battling strong winds that fueled the flames.
The Corpus Christi Fire Department reported that upon arrival, approximately 300 feet of dock space and several boats were engulfed in flames. Despite the challenging conditions, fire crews strategically placed hoselines to protect and save the businesses at the marina. While numerous boats and a large portion of dock space were lost, the efforts of the Corpus Christi Fire Department, along with Nueces County ESD 2 Flour Bluff, successfully preserved the surrounding structures. “Our thoughts are with those who were affected by the fire,” stated the department.
