As spring break approaches for Rockport-Fulton ISD students, the Texas Maritime Museum is set to host its annual Maritime Camp, offering young explorers a hands-on dive into coastal history and marine life. Running from March 9 to 13, 2026, the camp promises a mix of educational lessons, outdoor adventures, and fun activities designed to spark curiosity about the bays and beyond.
Shelly Knostman, Director of Education at the museum, shared details about the program in a recent interview.
“The Maritime Camp is an annual camp held during the Rockport-Fulton ISD spring break week,” Knostman explained. “It’s a morning camp from 9 a.m.-noon, and parents pay $75 per child to attend. Those funds go back into my education department so I can continue to provide this lovely camp.”…
