Mayor Guajardo sent the following statement to 3NEWS on Wednesday:
“The petition being circulated stems from the Homewood Suites lawsuit filed by a hotelier who opposed another hotel being developed in the same area. Independent reviews by multiple agencies carefully examined the matter and found no wrongdoing. At this point, efforts to continue pushing this narrative appear to be politically motivated rather than grounded in the facts. My focus remains on serving the people of Corpus Christi and continuing the important work of moving our city forward.”…
