TxDOT advises pedestrians, cyclists safety during spring break

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — With warmer weather and increased traffic this spring break, safety officials are urging pedestrians and cyclists to stay alert while enjoying time outdoors.

The Texas Department of Transportation reports that about 20 percent of all crashes statewide involve a cyclist or pedestrian, highlighting the risks as more people take to the roads, sidewalks and beaches.
