In Aransas Pass ISD, the district has previously said that Blunt Middle School teacher Yolanda Cribb goes above and beyond for her students. As a result of that dedication, Cribb recently received another honor from a state entity.
On April 10, APISD announced that Cribb has been named as the 2026 overall Teacher of the Year by state nonprofit organization Texas Caucus Black School Board Members.
