More than 100 members of the Gregory-Portland ISD community recently took time out of their weekend to clean up the streets and help beautify the Portland area.
On April 25, the Gregory-Portland High School Environmental Club hosted the Big Event. The event was aimed at bringing community members together to help pick up trash and other debris or things off the street.
In total, G-PISD said there were 120 community members who made their way to the event to help — a gesture the district said is a perfect example of a community coming together as one for a common purpose as they cleaned up local roadways…
