If there is one thing Gwinnett County School Police Department Chief Tony Lockard will miss when he retires next week, it’s the camaraderie between members of the department.
Lockard has worked in law enforcement for 35 years — 22 of those have been spent with Gwinnett County Public Schools. He was a school resource officer for several years and has been the school system’s police chief since December 2020.
