The true irony, however, lies in the fact that I’m a bona fide picky eater. Before you judge, I’m not the type that’ll order chicken tenders at a Mexican restaurant, but I am skeptical enough that the Food Issue — despite my peers’ excitement — fills me with anxiety each summer. Thankfully, this year’s contest theme is donuts (who doesn’t love those?!) and the entire issue highlights all of my favorite types of food. Between the 2026 Best Donut Contest on pg. 24 and Explore Gwinnett’s Seoul of the South Food Tour recap on pg. 32, I’ve been one happy — and extremely full — girl!
