Residents in two metro Atlanta communities are dealing with separate railroad-crossing disruptions—repeated freight-train blockages near Atlanta’s West End and a temporary maintenance closure in Duluth.

People living near the Atlanta crossing said stopped trains have blocked walking routes, vehicle access and, at times, first responders. Federal Railroad Administration data showed 22 reports at the intersection during the previous year, according to WSB-TV’s September 9 report.
